Called to Serve

Happy Friday! We hope your day and weekend will be blessed. Do you know people that are called to serve the Lord. Of course, we all are called to serve, but there are those rare individuals that are called to serve and serve and serve even more. And quite often, they are serving in the eye of a hurricane.

Pastor Holly Johnson is one of the rarest of individuals. Consider this. How often do you come across someone that is not only beautiful, talented, extremely intelligent(She has never made a "B" in her life), hard working, resilient, and much more, but also pastors a church(Christian Outreach Church in Morganton, N.C.. the home of Amazing Grace Radio), runs one of the largest food, education, and clothing ministries in the state, (The Outreach Center) genuinely cares about the less fortunate, puts others needs far ahead of her own, and above everything, just wants to serve and please the Lord.

Spend time with Pastor Holly Johnson or hear one of her sermons and you'll quickly realize she is anointed and one of the special ones called to serve. Over the past year she has been through extreme trials and tribulations. Most would have been crushed long ago, but she perseveres and is growing into the leader the Lord has called her to be. Many books could be written on the burden she has had to bear over the past year. But now,she is leading a group, through the guiding hand of the Lord, that is helping change lives...the lives of those hurting, hungry, and in need. For so many years her talent was pressed dormant, but now it is a marvelous sight to see an anointed servant of God blossom into a humble, caring, and loved leader.

Someone once said of Rich Mullins, "He's the real deal." That's also Pastor Holly Johnson..."She's the real deal."
