God...On Demand

In today's world, we live an "On demand" existence. We want everything right now. Waiting is not acceptable. We want everything, from our food to the movies we watch and everything else, right now...according to our timetable.

That's why waiting on the Lord is almost impossible. Almost always, when situations come up and you are waiting for the Lord to intervene or make a way, we try to make a way first, with very poor results.

Psalm 27:14 says: Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.

As we talked about the other day, He is the great Waymaker when it looks like there is absolutely no way. He really can turn the impossible into reality. But it will be in His time, not yours, and that's where our "On Demand" mentality usually kicks in before divine intervention can take place.

Draw close to the Lord and He will draw close to you. Pray, and let Him do His work and do not lose faith. It might not be today or tomorrow or even next year, but he is true and faithful.
