Grateful for Monday If you saw the website over the weekend then you read about my racquetball injury from last Friday. It’s just a nasty calf muscle pull and it’s getting better, but I stayed off my feet all weekend and never even left the house. In doing so, it did give me time to reflect on all the things I am thankful for and the incredible blessings the Lord lavishes on me everyday. We all go through seasons of tribulation and I am no exception. It’s been said God’s address is at the end of your rope. Well, a couple of years ago, He caught me just as I was letting go of my rope. He saved me and I will always be His for the rest of my time on this Earth and on into eternity. In fact, your life on this Earth does not really begin until you surrender all to Jesus Christ. Sure, you might have money, power, influence, the right friends, and all the trappings of worldly success, but unless you know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you have nothing. How many of those things will matter at your death? Jesus doesn’t accept American Express and He won’t be impressed by the friends you keep (or kept). You might want to place Him at the top of your VIP list and start living for eternity. Does it sound like I’m preaching? Just trying to make sure you see what a relationship with Jesus Christ will do in your life. He really can wipe your slate clean and make all things new. He really can do remarkable things in your life and use you in ways you never dreamed of. He really will bring you into the fold of the body of Christ. There’s no better place to be…it’s the only place to be. He will fill that void in your soul. If you have read this far, and don’t know Him, perhaps you’re wondering what to do next. Well, it’s simple. Just pray the following prayer with all your heart: "God, I recognize that I have not lived my life for You up until now. I have been living for myself and that is wrong. I need You in my life; I want You in my life. I acknowledge the completed work of Your Son Jesus Christ in giving His life for me on the cross at Calvary , and I long to receive the forgiveness you have made freely available to me through this sacrifice. Come into my life now, Lord. Take up residence in my heart and be my king, my Lord, and my Savior. From this day forward, I will no longer be controlled by sin, or the desire to please myself, but I will follow You all the days of my life. Those days are in Your hands. I ask this in Jesus' precious and holy name. Amen."
That’s it. Congratulations if you sincerely prayed that prayer. What a great way to start out a Monday, or anyway. We are here to help you in your walk with Christ. Contact us at info@amazinggraceradio.com.
