A Chainsaw in the Kitchen Happy Monday! We hope your weekend was wonderful and pray that your day will be blessed and stress free. Today, we honor our friend and fellow AGR Staff member Mike Stroud. He's having a birthday today.
I always marvel at the Lord's timing. I met Mike about 3 1/2 years ago, not long after I gave my life to Christ. As a new Christian, I could not have met a better person. In Mike, I saw then and still see today, the light of Jesus Christ burning brightly. Just spending time with him makes be a stronger Christian. If you want to hang around a down, tired, poor spirited, hopeless, negative person, then you need to skip over Mike. He's one of the most upbeat, pleasant, positive, and fun loving person I know. I can honestly say I've never seen him down or depressed. Mike has helped me in so many ways, both spiritually and domestically. To be sure, he strengthens my faith, but he's also always ready to help in any way he can. A couple of years ago I was remodeling a house. Mike was always there, ready to help, from cutting down trees to cutting vent holes in the kitchen floor. We cut down what seemed like a small forest which surrounded the home. We cut down small trees and a few large ones. In fact one fell across Table Rock Road and blocked the traffic. As cars backed up, waiting for us to clear the path, many of the motorist got out of their car to help clear the way. Speaking of cutting vent holes in the kitchen floor...Mike had forgotten his saw, so we used what we did have, a large Stihl chainsaw. So there we were, in the almost completely remodeled kitchen, cutting a vent hole in the floor with a chainsaw. Nothing like the smell and sound of a highly revved chainsaw in the kitchen. It makes food taste so much better. I am proud to call Mike Stroud my friend and brother in Christ. Mike's unique and is truly a servant of the Lord. Happy Birthday Mike!! We all love you. |
