Renewal

Today is May 1st. What comes to mind when you think of May? Here in the Blue Ridge Mountains of N.C., May means the leaves finally coming out on the trees, hopefully no more snow(though I have seen it snow as late as May 12th), summer break for students, the return of the many High Country summer residents, and a renewal of the land.

Like the seasons of Spring, Summer, Winter, and Fall, so are the seasons of our life on this Earth. And our seasons are ever changing. We might be going through a Winter of discontent or a Summer of love. We might be going through a season of perseverance or waiting on the Lord. Like the seasons, our lives are ever changing. No man ever steps into the same river twice. If you're waiting on the Lord to move in your life or open a door, just remember His time is not our time.

Like the renewal of the land in Spring, we need to renew our faith everyday. Not doing so can blur your focus on Christ and create an opportunity for the enemy. Keep your daily course chartered towards the cross. In doing so, you'll never get lost. Thanks again for visiting AGR. It's is a true blessing for you to be here. Jim Jernigan
