So What Have You Done For Me...Forever

We've all heard the expression, "What have you done for me lately." But when our judgment day comes, the Lord will not ask what we've done for Him lately. He will want to know what we've done for Him since birth.

I was watching evangelist John Bevere on God TV the other night. And by the way, have you seen the excellent programming on God TV. You can also watch online. Anyway, just wanted to get that plug in for the excellent programming on God TV. To be honest, it was the first time I had seen John Bevere and he made some excellent points.

He pointed out that there will be a judgment day, a day when we stand before the Lord and give an account of the life He gave us on this Earth. EVERYTHING we did will be reviewed. That's scary enough right there. John Bevere pointed out that we will not be judged on how we treated other people but on how we served the Lord and brought the lost souls into His church. In other words, how we built up His kingdom.

Most Christians today are to busy or intimidated to share their faith. But that's what the Lord has called us to do and when we don't it's displeasing to the Him. Every Sunday I play racquetball after church with fellow AGR staff member Mike Stroud. We play at a wellness center here in Morganton, N.C. and every Sunday I see an older Volkswagen van parked outside. This vehicle catches my eye because it is almost covered with scripture and other Christian thoughts. Last Sunday, I finally talked with the guy driving it and told him how much I respect and appreciate his boldness. He smiled and thanked me. We talked for awhile and learned he has stomach cancer, but his determination is strong and his strength is drawn directly from the Lord. After talking with him I thought, "I could drive something like that." Think of all the seeds he's planting. If only one bears fruit, it will all be worth it.

I challenge you and myself to be bold in Christ and spread the word of the good news of the Gospels. Let your light shine on all you see and pray that they will be drawn into it. Have a blessed day and thanks again for including AGR. We are truly humbled and honored.
