Standing at TOC

If you read this website at all, then you are somewhat familiar with The Outreach Center. This amazing place assists well over 1,000 families every week with free food, clothing, and education. The Outreach Center is blessed with an abundance of food and clothing for clients. There are also dedicated volunteers. In fact, it's run almost entirely by volunteers. Even the Executive Director, Holly Johnson, is a volunteer. The Outreach Center has almost everything needed to keep going...except money.

I don't understand how a place like TOC, that helps so many every week with free services, struggles to keep the doors open. This is no small operation. On Tuesday night alone from 6-8pm around 800 families receive food. TOC serves the immediate 5 county area, plus areas in other parts of the U.S. Ray, who is featured back on the home page, went through the Fresh Start education program to get his GED, at age 49. Read his amazing story which would not be written except for the wonderful folks at the Fresh Start Education Center. But Fresh Start and the rest of The Outreach Center is in danger of going away. The Lord keeps TOC going. He has supplied an amazing amount of food and clothing. We pray that funds will be next. We pray that enough donors will come forward to keep the doors open. We pray and after we've done all that we know to do, we pray more...and stand. That's where we are now. Standing.

The Lord is true and faithful and if it is His desire to keep TOC going, it most certainly will. Money is needed especially for huge power bills, which must be paid next week. The Center cannot operate without power.

I ask that you visit The Outreach Center's website and make an online donation, in any amount. It's unthinkable that The Outreach Center could close. But it could become reality without your help. Remember, all donations are tax deductible and would be a true blessing. Thank you and God Bless.
