The Impatient Christian

How many times everyday is your patience tested? Probably a lot....like following a car going 35 in a 55 zone on a 2 lane road, or a long line at the bank or grocery store. It could be waiting for an appointment to arrive or your fast food order...or it could be waiting on the Lord, and that can be the toughest of all. Psalm 27:14 says, "Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD." Sometimes, that's much easier said than done.

We all have situations and circumstances in our life that require patience for the Lord to do His work. But quite often we intervene before His plan comes together and we never know what could have been had we waited just a little longer.

The Lord is the great waymaker when things look bleak. Psalm 40:1 says,"I waited patiently for the LORD; he turned to me and heard my cry."

If you're waiting on the Lord to intervene in your life or a situation, refrain from acting on your own and wait. He has a plan for everything and considering his resume, He's much more qualified than we are.

Stand strong and we'll wait on the Lord.
