The Ramblings of a 50 year old
I turned 50 on Wednesday so perhaps that’s why I feel compelled to write these observations of life so far. These are in no particular order or thought pattern (which I was guilty of before turning 50)
*If you worry, chances are the cause can be linked back to money. *If you’ve never faced tribulation in your life, just hang on and be ready, for it will come. *When that tribulation finally arrives, it will test everything you know, including your faith. You might ask why and question the Lord. But believe me, He knows what He’s doing so just praise Him and look forward to the future He has planned for you. Stay strong and keep the faith. He will guide your steps. *If your friends easily turn against and desert you, they were never really your friends. *Be wary of men of God that blame Satan for everything. They are usually the one in the middle of Satan’s playground. *If you suddenly become a Christian in the midst of middle age, some will cast you out, some will cast a doubting eye, some will think it’s all false. You will lose some friends but gain true brothers and sisters in Christ. Preach the Gospels and use words when necessary. *It’s rare to find someone that truly wants to live a life to please the Lord and to be his humble servant. It’s rare because most people have self serving motives in all they do. If the Lord blesses your life with such humble people, draw close to them and embrace their light. *Simplify your life. Clear the clutter. Trim the fat. Feel the beauty of simplicity. *Turn off the TV. Think about the time you spend watching TV. Now, think about using that time to volunteer at an agency that provides assistance to less fortunate individuals and families, like The Outreach Center. It will transform your life and theirs.
I’ll have more later as soon as I can remember them. I am 50 ya know.
