To Everything There is a Season....

Change. We don't like change. We like familiar things. We like familiar patterns, places, and faces. We can live without...change.

But the reality is change will come. Sometimes change will come slowly, like a herd of turtles. But then there are times when change will come like a bolt of lightening, transforming your life in the blink of an eye. Sudden change is usually not a good thing. Sudden change is usually followed by a period of tribulation. It's during those dark days when our faith is severely tested. If you're going through a change in your life, reach out to Jesus. Call out to Him and He will guide your steps and straighten your path. Change will come, that is for certain. Don't resist it, rather embrace it. I'm reminded of Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under heaven:

2 a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,

3 a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,

4 a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,

5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain,

6 a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,

7 a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,

8 a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.

That scripture was set to song by a group called The Byrds in the 60's. It was a time of definite change in this country. I grew up in the 60's but didn't realize how much change was actually going on till much later. Often the Lord is like that. We go along and things happen but we don't realize the work He's done till later.

Change. If you've not experienced it in your life, just keep breathing and you will. When it comes, embrace it and let the Lord guide your steps.
