Top 10 Things I Learned Over the Summer of 2006 10. I'm blessed to be living in the Blue Ridge Mountains of N.C., where summer temperatures in the 80's is considered much too hot. (Actually, I already knew this before the summer started) 9. The constant affirmation of the power in prayer 8. The food at Waffle House is not as good as I remembered (I’m still amazed by their cooks. How can they recall all those orders??) 7. It’s more expensive to insure a Ford than a Buick 6. The meaning of what my friend meant when he said the church can eat and devour their own 5. One of the best ways the Lord tests us is in heavy road construction with lots of long delays (Like between Boone and Lenoir on 321) 4. Trust can be fleeting and gone in seconds 3. Humility is a long lost character trait 2. Continued lying will only deepen the pit 1. And the number one thing I learned over the summer…even if you lose a precious part of your life, the Lord will restore in a mighty way
