Valentine's Day

There's only one thing worse than not having a boyfriend on Valentine's Day—actually having one!

Valentine’s Day…the day of love. You might think for someone that is not married or involved in any relationship that Valentine’s Day might be a little depressing. I can tell you firsthand, it is not, at least for me anyway. And it really shouldn’t be for any Christian. Oh sure, it’s great if you are in a wonderful marriage or relationship, that’s a blessing.

But the truth is, I am in a great relationship. It’s someone who gave us the greatest gift ever given…Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I don’t know if we can even comprehend the depth of His love for us. But I know in my heart He loves me and that I love Him above everything.

Yes, this is a day of love, but so was yesterday. In fact, everyday will be a day of love, for eternity, as long as your focus stays on Christ.

The following is from Heartlight.org…

So on this Valentines Day, just remember you’ve been sent the best Valentine of all. The one who loves you most kissed your darkness and gave you this sunrise. He held your hand as you faced your day’s toughest challenges. He used the colors of his grace to paint you a sunset. And as you sleep this night, he sings over you and holds you in his love. Rest tonight, dear child of God, knowing that you are precious and loved. You are your own deal... and God loves YOU!

For the LORD your God ... is a mighty savior. He will rejoice over you with great gladness. With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will exult over you by singing a happy song. (Zephaniah 3:17 NLT)
