Wednesday Night Services at COC

The picture above was taken during a Wednesday night service here at Christian Outreach Church. The Wednesday worship is a little different here. Not only do those attending get a wonderful message from Pastor Holly Johnson, they also get free food to take home from The Outreach Center next door. Last Wednesday, over 300 attended services and over 30 came to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. It's an amazing night of worship.

Many that come would not normally be in church on Wednesday night, or any other day or night. There are also many that come on Wednesday because they can't afford to purchase gas to come more than one service. So, they choose Wednesday, so they can be fed physically and spiritually. There are also those that only come for food and might feel it a necessary inconvenience to sit through the service. (You must stay for the full service to get food) But often it is those very ones that are convicted by the Holy Spirit and before they realize it, have given their all to Jesus.

The Outreach Center and COC also distribute food on Tuesday night from 6-8pm, serving around 1,000 families each week. I believe that if the space was available, the Wednesday night distribution would eventually surpass Tuesday night. Perhaps the Lord has that in the works, as He moves to get as many as possible into His kingdom as we start to walk through the last days.
