“Stay in God’s Spirit” by Dewey Fox
We are warned many times in the Bible of the last days, as I believe they are today, that they will be many deceivers of the Spirit of God. Jude 1:17-21 warns us of those days and what and how we are to stay in the Spirit. But you must remember, beloved, the predictions of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ. (Jude 1:17 ESV) They said to you, "In the last time there will be scoffers, following their own ungodly passions." (Jude 1:18 ESV) It is these who cause divisions, worldly people, devoid of the Spirit. (Jude 1:19 ESV) But you, beloved, build yourselves up in your most holy faith; pray in the Holy Spirit; ( Jude 1:20 ESV) keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life. (Jude 1:21 ESV) Rich Mullins wrote another song concerning how hard it is to stay in the Spirit and to be like Jesus. The name of the song is simply “Hard” and it speaks of how hard it is to turn the other cheek, bless others, it’s just hard to be like Jesus.
“HARD” Lord it’s hard to turn the other cheek Hard to bless when others curse you Lord it’s hard to be man of peace Lord it’s hard, it’s hard, it’s hard to be like Jesus
By Rich Mullins
“When we cry out the name of Jesus, the demons flee.” “The name of Jesus can calm all of our inner storms.” “Amen.”
“Do not think that love, in order to be genuine, has to be extraordinary. What we need is to love without getting tired.” Mother Teresa
The way we act around and treat others shows where our heart is and reveals where we are in our relationship with Jesus Christ. “If you talk the walk, then walk the talk.” You’re not fooling anyone except yourself. “If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit.” (Galatians 5:25 ESV)
