Tuesday Night Testimony at The Outreach Center by Dewey Fox
John 9:1-3 “And passing by, He saw a man who was blind from birth. And His disciples asked Him, saying, Master, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind? Jesus answered, neither has this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God might be revealed in him.” Last Tuesday night was a wonderful night at The Outreach Center. We were fortunate to pray for a lot of needs from many individuals while taking their groceries out to their cars. I know in the groups and individuals that my partner Dawn and I prayed for there were many with bad backs, cancer, diabetes, marriage difficulties, and loved ones that were unsaved and living in the world of Satan. Oh yes, did I tell you that we had a rain during the grocery ministry that cooled the temperature down from the high earlier in the day of 90 plus degrees? Praise God! It’s amazing to me how people will open up to us after we introduce ourselves while taking the groceries to the vehicle. By their own admission they have a lot of faith and trust in God; otherwise they would not ask us to pray for them. Right there at their point of need, right there in the large parking lot of the old Bi-Lo’s grocery store. I praise God for them. They have hope and that hope is in Jesus Christ. I would like to share with you one of the testimonies that a lady told me about towards the end of the night. When I asked her how we could pray for her, she said, “Let me tell you about my daughter.” “She said, “my daughter has sugar diabetes and it affected her eyes. One morning she waked up in a pool of blood from her eyes. She was taken to the emergency room; and they did what they could for her. She continued to say that they came by to get groceries for the week and asked for prayer for the daughter. All the doctors said she would lose use of her eyesight. She set up an appointment with a specialist in this area of disease of the eyes. When she went into the office of the doctor and the doctor read the x-rays, he apologized and said someone had taken the x-rays wrong and asked for them to be taken a second time. And again when the x-rays were brought to his office, he again apologized and said they were not taken correctly. Then on the third take, he himself, took the new x-rays and read them. He called them into his office and said that he had never seen anything like it in his 30 years of practicing medicine, but her eyes were the eyes of a much younger person and he could not find anything wrong with them. He couldn’t explain it. Then the daughter said, “Let me tell you about Jesus.” “I don’t know who prayed for her that night at The Outreach Center, but a healing took place and God healed and the works of God were revealed in her.” Is that a touching testimony or what? “Let me tell you about Jesus.” I love it. I don’t know why He heals some and others He doesn’t. But, he’s God and he is still in control and can see the master plan for our lives. Let us never doubt that plan he has for each one of us. Can I get an “Amen” on that?
