God's Word

Man has always tried to impose his beliefs and intellect on solutions to daily problems. Science attempts to logically explain every aspect of creation. In contrast, God calls Christians to walk by faith and at the same time gives them a mind and an intellect to reason, to understand, and to study His creation. By its very nature, the supernatural will never be explained nor rationalized, for what is impossible with man is possible with God. The Bible gives us guidance for every aspect of our lives. Man is always seeking new ways to solve personal crises, heal diseases, and conquer moral dilemmas. Psychologists, scientists, researchers, and others are continually exploring the newest theory, a better medication, or a newer method of treatment for society’s problems. None of these newfound solutions are ever 100% accurate. However, there is a method that is always consistent and always holds an answer to every problem. That method is God’s word. This Word has stood the test of time and still remains unshakeable. The Bible gives us a foundation for managing every crisis and every problem that has ever been or ever will be known to man. It is by the hand of God that every invention and every new discovery is made. “For the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding” (Proverbs 2:6, NAS). As Christians, we must uphold righteousness and must continue to measure every area of life by Biblical standards, discarding those ideas that counter what God has to say, and enforcing those ideas that are consistent with His plans. “Listen to counsel and accept discipline, that you may be wise the rest of your days. Many plans are in a man’s heart, but the counsel of the Lord will stand” (Proverbs, 19:20 -21, NAS). If we follow Biblical standards, we can face any situation in life and know that we have victory through Christ!
